John Mason
John owned a successful Real Estate Agency 12 years prior to retirement. Now a full-time artist, his home studio is on a 5-acre block. His favoured medium is acrylic on canvas.
He was raised in England, but has lived in the City of Wanneroo for the last 33 years, prior to which he lived on the troubled war-torn island of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea for 10 years. Followed by a 3-year stint in the Solomon Islands.
A well-seasoned traveller John has lived and worked in Bermuda, Mexico, South Africa, Namibia, Algeria, Singapore, PNG, and the Solomon Islands.
He is a founder member of the Peter Cowan Writer’s Centre located on ECU Campus, Joondalup.
His artwork adorns the walls of property in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, the UK, and Hong Kong.
His artwork has been displayed at exhibitions held by the cities of Wanneroo, Joondalup, Belmont, Gosnells, as well as in the local community centre at Hillarys.
His artwork includes mainly acrylic.
